Jason Therion Coe

 

Drawing inspiration from comic books, kung-fu, cartoons, and mythology, I have always felt a deep desire to do more with my art. Unknowingly, my journey as a teacher began in the mid-90s. My experience in martial arts partially fueled my passion for community engagement. Despite encouragement from others to consider teaching, I initially pursued careers in project management, academic administration, and higher education (Art Therapy). Alongside these endeavors, I found some success as an exhibiting artist and pursued a passion for acting. However, it wasn't until later that I realized teaching really was my calling.

 

Jason is a seasoned artist and K-12 Art Teacher with certification in International Baccalaureate Visual Art and Theory of Knowledge. With a strong background in art history and curriculum development, he is deeply passionate about experiential education. Jason also serves as an IB examiner and Duke of Edinburgh Award Leader.

His teaching journey has taken him to various countries, including Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and China.

Throughout his career, Jason has been actively involved in the arts community while maintaining his own art-making practice.

While this website was initially designed to serve as an introduction and instructional support for upper secondary students, it is also intended to provide support for anyone interested in a comprehensive art curriculum.
